When is the right time to start learning about the healthy foods and the best diets? As early as possible, and what’s more, it doesn’t have to be boring. Kids Food Festival is part of the very important fight against children's obesity and it makes education fun.
You can participate at the Balanced Plate Scavenger Hunt, stop by any number of cooking demonstrations or sign up for cooking classes (for $25). You can not only see for yourself how easy and exciting cooking can be, you also get a chance to try your hand at this. Kids and parents can take part in this together: get new ideas for healthy and tasty meals and learn to prepare them while having lots of fun.
An important aspect of the festival is the kids’ participation. They do not have to depend on the grown-ups to make the food-related decisions for them and learn not to default to fast food if there is no adult present.
The general admission is Free. See the festival's program.
