Every sculptor started his way from drawing or painting, as it is an indispensable tool of any artist's affair. Martin Puryear has not become an exception of the rule, moreover, his collection of drawings is quite curious to be explored, as it reveals his other, no less interesting side.

The exhibition “Martin Puryear: Multiple Dimensions” features more than 70 works, including prints and a few sculptures as well, which showcase a line of Martin Puryear's artistic development during his career. One peculiar point distinguishes the exposition from others—that's the way of presenting the information within different medias.

The installation setup was made possible thanks to The Art Institute of Chicago and the generous support of more than ten volunteers and Martin Puryear's art admirers.
