That’s the first and maybe the one of its kind museum which aims to promote and to popularize the folk art, as well as some extraordinary creative expressions of contemporary artists. Since 1961, the Folk Art Museum tries to carry out its great mission: to showcase unique talents and to help the young show their worth.

The permanent collection captures the period from the 18th century till nowadays with more than 5,000 exemplars. It is all about the art of the most unlike and eccentric crafters, even self-taught. The Museum is quite a hospitable place: you can always come across an amazing exhibition, an educational program, and you can be sure that the annual number of guests is over 100,000.
