Founded in 1987 The Knitting Factory now forms a huge Knitting Factory Entertainment trademark which has already gained reputation and appreciation of the audience throughout the years. Initially, it was created as a part of an experimental project.
The main idea was to create such a space where spectators could almost touch performers standing several feet from them. Some may say about lack of room while others will like those low ceilings, intimate space, and great acoustics. When we say “great” we mean “extremely loud”.
The Knitting Factory makes it possible to have a close personal look at all those rock and punk bands, comedians, folk musicians, reggae singers and many other representatives of what we call NYC’s cultural life. Nothing can be better than affordable price, a wide selection of events, and energy that flows all around this place.
