Look for number 80 down St. Mark’s Place to enter the black gates and go upstairs to see some artifacts and unique exhibits as well as black-and-white images of some most legendary NYC gangsters in addition to bits and bobs that once belonged to such figures as Al Capone and more.

The main mission of the museum is to dispel common myths about famous gangsters of good old times. The majority of exhibited pieces are mainly focused on revealing some secret facts related to the organized crime including its several periods along with Prohibition era, serial bank robberies, etc.

As soon as you enter the museum, you will notice that major part of the space is dominated by retro photographs of some criminal memorabilia in addition to its former belongings. The exhibition highlights some artifacts that create a different vision on gangsters’ world in comparison with what we know from popular movies and books.
