Sit & Wonder is one of those quintessentially Brooklyn places: it has the right ambiance, locally sourced coffee, pastry you’ll want to marry for. If that’s not enough to lure you in, how about an outdoor garden in the back? There’s WiFi, too, for when you’re in dire need of a working space with just the right atmosphere.

Sit & Wonder buys their coffee from Stumptown, a well-known local producer who acts as a supplier to a number of New York coffee houses. (If you’re not one of their fans yet, wait till you taste their roast). For those who’d like to experiment with their own brew at home, Sit & Wonder sells bagged coffee that comes in four sorts.

The prices are very reasonable, the staff friendly, cookies fresh and delicious. Make sure to have some cash on you, as they don’t accept credit cards. Last but not least, stop by for a free cupping every third Wednesday.
