Have you heard of the Coney island Cyclone? Well, if you haven't that is because you are too young or you are just visiting the city. Beginning with the 1927 when New York was blooming with confident projects and urbanist planning, Brooklyn had one amazing seaside resort, Coney Island. People used to go there to ride the Cyclone, the huge roller coaster on the island and the whole resort was absolutely blooming. Unfortunately after six years, beginning with 1969, the resort started having financial issues and needed to make some cutbacks, thus beginning a period of decline both for it and for the neighborhood. You can easily spend a lovely sunny summer day grabbing a hit dog at Nathan's Famous and to ride the Cyclone. In November 2009 the leadership of the Bloomberg administration bought 62 acres of land and wanted to start revitalizing the historic Coney Island landmark.
