Center for Puppetry Arts

Puppets have accompanied people of different cultures throughout thousands of years as double-gangers, companions, toys, teachers, magical objects, etc. They may even live the life of their own. But at the Center for Puppetry Arts, puppets are friendly and uniting people.

Keeping up the long-lasting tradition The Center for Puppetry Arts treats puppets as friends to people of all ages, as their teachers and healers without excluding their entertaining functions. In skillful hands, marionettes educate, inspire, and unite. They can tell nearly any story and explain a multitude of subjects be it technology, a law of physics or a psychological phenomenon. A person can find his reflection in a marionette which may assist in his holistic development.

Center's facilities are meant to involve visitors into arts activities as well as into communication. Besides performances, they arrange museum tours (demonstrating the rich intercultural puppetry tradition), hands-on workshops and other educational and community-uniting opportunities. Thus, marionettes help wake the artistic side in every visitor and usher him to the ancient and constantly young wonder of puppetry.
