Spooky atmosphere is the establishment’s specialty, and they create it with all available sources — sounds, interior items, unusual artifacts, actors, and special effects. Both decoration and performance are concentrated on English Gothic Theme, as its idea and name were borrowed from Robert Stevenson’s Victorian novel The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. And you should be warned that loony mortician Mr. Aloysius Goole, eccentric French butler, and pretty maniac Gertrude K. Boom are the hosts of the dinner you get here.
The venue has experienced several movements. Today Jekyll and Hyde Club is situated in Greenwich Village, on 7th Avenue not far from Washington Square Park, but its previous location facade still mortifies the passer-byes on the Avenue of the Americas. If you like to amaze your friends with some wacky party, private rooms are available for booking.
