Occupying 700,000 square feet, Prudential Center is the home for various kinds of sports including ice hockey, lacrosse, basketball, soccer and more. The venue is also used as a massive concert platform for all big music events and festivals.
The grand opening of the venue took place in 2007 with a set of live shows and concerts. The programming included 10 performances in a row representing such big names as iconic locals Bon Jovi and My Chemical Romance.
The arena became the home ground for NJ Devils where they played their first game in against Senators and took their first win here thanks to Chris Neil scoring the first goal. Now the venue is a permanent residence for basketball and soccer teams. It used to be a home for NLL.
